Tonight On Playboy Radio: RIP Nightcalls

“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end..”

I was away this week, but got an email from the always delightful Sexy Lexi, associate producer of NightCalls, saying that word came down and the show was cancelled.

This made me sad.

I liked the show and I liked being a part of it.  I liked chatting with Debi and Nicki every Thursday night, and the giuest hosts they’d have on every so often.  Never got a ton of feedback on my appearances, but occasionally I’d get a tweet or two about it, so I knew someone was listening.  I also liked revisiting the adult movies from my youth — or the ones I liked anyway.

Rest assured, there’s a silver lining!  Lexi also passed on the good news that (a) she was promoted and now she’s the Producer of YouPorn on Spice Radio (Sirius XM103) and (b) she’d like me to continue doing the classic adult reviews I was doing on NightCalls over at YouPorn with Ginger Lynn and Christy Canyon.

Needless to say, I jumped at the chance.  So, we’ve got ourselves a schedule change — instead of Thursdays at 7:40EST on XM 102, I’ll be on Wednesdays at 2:40PM on XM103.  One day and five hours earlier, and one channel higher on your satellite dial.

We’re starting next week, the 27th.  I have no idea what we’re going to talk about — I suspect it’ll just be a “get to know you” session.  I was lucky enough to be on YouPorn back in January at AEE, and I look forward to making it my new regular gig.

(And really, I get to chat every week with Christy and Ginger?  It’s (almost) like my 16 year old self just won the lottery… )

EVENT: Club 90 – Golden Girls of Porn

IAFD Set Visit: Selena Rose feature

Thanks to the folks at Digital Playground, I was able to visit a Selena Rose feature,  directed by Robby D in April. Selena plays a drifter who crashes a house full of eager guys and jealous girlfriends.  One thing about features compared to gonzo movies is that the shooting can take the entire day and night rather than 3-4 hours. You would have multiple takes of dialogue shot at multiple angles that I can only imagine what an editor is faced with when the shooting is finished. Robby and his crew were gracious hosts, but I couldn’t last into the night… (That’s what she said).

Selena Rose is a beautiful Cuban American from Miami. She’s done multiple features for DP so she’s used to the long hours. She’s quite flirty in person and normally I would be skeptical in dismissing it as something she puts on for the press. However, I’ve met her in the past in more casual situations when she didn’t know who I was to conclude the flirtiness is just part of her normal personality. Sex always seems to be on the mind with her and I was flattered by the attention she showered until Manuel Ferrara showed up. Heh.

I also met a newcomer named Alexis Monroe who was in her first week of the business.  She is a sweet girl from Michigan who I had a conversation about rabbits with beyond  “doing it like rabbits”. We got along fabulously until she laid eyes on Erik Everhard. He really likes blondes so I can’t begrudge this.

Finally I met Tristyn Kennedy, a lovely Southern belle from Tennessee by way of Dallas, Texas. She was the first person I interviewed who was more nervous than me. We talked a little about how she came into business with her roomie, Ashlynn Leigh. Speaking of, I had ran into Ashlynn the previous day at the Apple store because that’s how things roll in Porn Valley. I didn’t get to see Tristyn have nasty sex with James Deen because the scenes got backed up late into the night, and I needed my sleep.

Expect some interviews from this set visit.

We’ve been fielding calls today from news organizations in the Great White North, and thought we’d just document what we’ve been saying, so we have something to refer to the next time they call. :-)

His scene for BADPUPPY, as Luka, was in November, 2005, the next month. It appears to be a mastonly.  (AVN.COM is reporting the scene was shot in 2009. His scene for DADDYMUGS does appear to have been shot in Ohio, as that’s where the company is based. I couldn’t find a production date but went by the various other releases on his site. SON OF POSEDON was pulled off of his Facebook page. I had in my mind in might have been like one of those TrentDog situations (a mastonly) that he shot himself and uploaded or it was by some fly by night amateur outfit however, I could be wrong. For all I know, he could have had sex with a room full of guys. There’s no info on this title out there.

So, if anyone has any (ahem) hard info about Son of Posedon (or Poseidon, I suppose) please let us know.

Also, be wary of sites claiming to have video of Magnotta, we’re seeing links on HardSexTube and the like that claim to have “Luka Magnotta fucks MILF” videos, but they’re not him.

For the benefit of our friends in the Canadian Media, here’s all we know about Vancouver.  (With the discovery that body parts were sent to two elementary schools in Vancouver, a connection to Vancouver is being sought.)

[According to the CBC, Montreal police have since confirmed that Magnotta did live in Vancouver for a period of time, but provided no details.  We assume it was in the 2003 time period, but it’s only an assumption.]

We know the parent company of streetbait.com, Internet Media Corp, had an office in Vancouver around the time Luka shot his scene for them.  So, is it a stretch to draw the conclusion that they had a studio in or near their offices?  It would never hold up in court, but it seems reasonable enough.

Using the Internet Wayback Machine, we can look at their site’s 2257 notice (a page required by US law, which tells US law enforcement where  to go to check age-related documentation on the performers in sexually  explicit videos) as it appeared in 2003, and it says their address was:

Their current Terms and Conditions and privacy policy seems to reflect a Canada-centric corporation:

Section 19 reads in part: “This Agreement shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the Province of British Columbia and Canada  as applied to agreements between British Columbia residents entered into and to be performed within the Province of British Columbia, except as  governed by Federal law.”

Knowing that the copyright page of any site is usually the last page to get changed, this may be an outdated set of terms and conditions, as their corporate offices seem to have moved to Las Vegas.  The WHOIS record for the streetbait.com domain lists their new location:

As a journalism minor in college, I am fascinated about how an interview with The Canadian Press I did this morning is being used and excerpted and re-purposed throughout various news agencies and websites; it’s interesting to watch the Google Alerts come in… I just wish it wasn’t in relation to this story…

Remembering Three Legends on Their Birthday

Today, June 4, marks the birthdays of Henri Pachard, Bruce Seven and Jack Baker.  Henri Pachard would have been 73, Bruce Seven – 66, and Jack Baker – 65 had they not been taken from us before their time.

In their honor, I will re-watch part of Pachard’s  Devil in Miss Jones 2 (the Jacqueline Lorians and Joanna Storm scenes)  and Baker’s appearances in Devil in Miss Jones 3 and Bruce Seven’s Takin’ It To The Limit (for the excellent Debi Diamond‘s taking on of Peter North and TT Boy.)
