Venus Berlin 2012

Well despite last year proclaiming that I needed to take a break from going to the Venus show, I went to Berlin anyway because I wanted to see my European friends. Besides my best German friend, Malte, said he couldn’t afford going to America for the AVN show.

This year’s show was run by new organisers, and I appreciated the efforts they went to try to accommodate the attendees. When there were long lines for people to pick up their badges, staff met people in the lines with temporary badges (1 day)Â so they that could get into the show right away. They could pick up their 4 day badges later.

The show shrunk for the fourth consecutive year where I only spent most of my time between four booths.: my host booth (UKAP), Girlfriend Films’, Pierre Woodman’s, and Salma de Nora’s. The international presence was very low with fewer American, Czech, and Hungarian girls compared to previous years.

I followed these three Spanish girls around so much. I ended helping them network with my friends. My friends even joked that I had stalked those Spanish girls so much that they were now following me. That’s why we ended up calling it “Stalk”holm Syndrome. I don’t think they have done any American productions yet but they liked to exhibit themselves. If you asked nicely, they treated you nicely. Thank you, girls.

Sandy kills at least 33 people and Gamelink is having a sale!

Not many people know this but IAFD is based in the region that’s been severely impacted by Tropical Storm/Cyclone Sandy. I am not in the area but worry about my chief colleague and his family in the aftermath since I have had my share of experiences with hurricanes. As far as I know, the storm has killed over 33 people but the people over at Gamelink can make some of that pain go away!

Let me quote excerpts of the press release I received today from their publicist:

There is no note of donation of the proceeds. Gamelink’s just having a straight up sale for people that are so distressed about the situation that they need to jerk off. In case these people don’t have electricity, don’t fear:

Most importantly, the sale will cover all of the VoD movies that are available instantly, which are also available to watch on all mobile devices. Even if power stays out, customers can still access mobile movies.

How considerate… This sale is not limited to the people affected by the storm. Friends and family can fap to their heart’s contentÂ as they worry about their loved ones too! Even the people who don’t give a shit can partake in this sale as long as they have this code.

Another Look at the Misty Beethoven Restoration

Kudos to Distribpix for really making the effort on their restoration of Henry Paris aka Radley Metzger‘s’Â The Opening of Misty Beethoven. Â They were thrown off Kickstarter and raised their own backing thru presales and promotions, and they’ve been teasing their efforts on their blog. Â (Useless disclosure: we contributed.)

Ask the IAFD: Who are the Tallest MODERN Pornstars?

So, when we listed the tallest adult film actresses, we (and our fans) discovered that the tallest female pornstars are from a bygone era. The tallest we list, Â Chanel PriceÂ stands an impressive 6’4″ (193cm) but she stopped working in 1989. Â Everyone else on the list was stopped working in 2008 (or earlier) so,Â we were asked to provide stats on the modern era of porn performers, so here goes. Â Our goal was to list the Top 20 actresses by height, but since there is a huge tie in the 5’11” (180cm) range, we’re listing 32 performers.
