Trailer Porn: Star Trek: TNG : A XXX Parody

You would think as someone who should be paying attention to the porn industry, I wouldn’t have first stumbled across this trailer over on Wil Wheaton’s blog, but it’s true.

I don’t know if I am as die hard a trekkie as perhaps I once was… I grew up on TOS (The Original Series) and liked TNG, but Voyager and Deep Space 9 left me cold, and then I was back for Enterprise (and I think I may have been the only one..) and from the looks of things, I am back for the XXX Parody… Sam Hain once again put Kimberly Kane into a red wig and he set off to remake another favorite sci-fi show.  And the trailer looks great.

Here’s the SFW one:

There’s a NSFW trailer over at the Revolution X / Digital Sin site:

Their promo blurb sums things up thusly:

Join Picard (Giles), Riker (Rocco Reed), Crusher (Kimberly Kane), and the rest of the Enterprise crew as they boldly go into the final frontier of adult cinema! While en route to Starbase 112, the Enterprise detects strange electromagnetic readings emanating from a barren M-Class planet. Upon further investigation, it is discovered that the source of energy is in fact a box containing Tasha Yar (India Summer), the long dead former Chief of Security of the ship, in cryosleep. Is she the real Tasha Yar? Is she a clone? Or is she something completely different? Follow all of your favorite characters as they engage in the biggest sexual adventure of the 24th century!

So it has the flavor of Yesterday’s Enterprise with some extra minor characters from the TNG universe thrown in to keep the pairings varied — Dana DeArmond as Ensign Ro and Bobbi Starr as Dr. Leah Brahms; not that I’m complaining!

Also in the cast are April O’Neil as Counselor Troi (who looks fucking awesome in the big curly wig), Tyler Knight as Geordi La Forge, Xander Corvus as Data,  Lee Bang as the Klingon, Lt. Worf and Tim Cannon as the lone red shirt, er, security officer.

Happily, I am unable to make any jokes about the cast’s “enhanced ample nacelles” because our gals are all-natural to boot!

The attention to detail in the trailer is pretty amazing — the bridge looks like the bridge, the music sounds like the music, the costumes look like the costumes, the snozzberries taste like snozzberries!

Coming off his triumph of X-Files “parodies” (which were more homage than parody) Sam Hain seems to have another one teed up for success, and it comes as no surprise that Eddie Powell is along for the ride as his cinematographer.

Gawker’s sci-fi blog, io9, had low-res video interviews with Bobbi Starr and Giles Aston (who, apparently, is a Patrick Stewart impersonator on the convention circuit and doesn’t do any hardcore in the film):

Trailer Porn: Lost and Found

I thought maybe I’d start a new section highlighting some of the more memorable trailers to make their away across my mediafeed.   As with mainstream movies, a good trailer can make a shitty movie look pretty good, and there’s nothing wrong with highlighting fine examples of the craft.

So kudos to the editor who cut together our inaugural entry, the trailer for New Sensations: Romance’s upcoming release Eddie Powell‘s “Lost and Found

Initially, it looks like a Doritos ad — it captures the commerical sheen that Madison Ave ascribes to the “modern stoner” generation perfectly — but then we see Kimberly Kane and we know it’s not nachos we’re supposed to be eating. (Zing!)

The trailer sets up the plot – Allie Haze loves her dog, Xander Corvus has a crush on Allie… so a plot is hatched between Xander and his roommate Chad Alva to “borrow” Allie’s dog, so Xander can help her find it.  I suspect that some sex happens along the way (capping with an Allie/Xander pairing, perhaps?) but we’re not given any hint of it in this trailer.  Also on hand are Allie’s poster-maker friend Lexi Belle and Chad’s girlfriend played by the aforementioned Kimberly Kane (who really needs a more recent headshot on our site… must make a note to get on that…)

I have no idea how the movie is going to be, but the trailer is as shaggily charming as they come.

Lost and Found hits the streets on 2/28/11.
