We Got Nominated Again!

Many many thanks to the folks who nominated us for an XBiz Award in the “Best Fan Site” category.

As you may recall, we won the award last year (#humblebrag) and we’d sure love a repeat.

Here’s some boilerplate PR info:

Nominees for the 2018 XBIZ Awards were selected based on more than 8,000 pre-nominations submitted by members of the industry via XBIZ.net.

Scheduled for Jan. 18 in Los Angeles, adult superstar Jessica Drake will host the annual gala at the grand J.W. Marriott located at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles, within walking distance to Staples Center, the Los Angeles Convention Center, Nokia Theatre and the Grammy Museum.

A star-studded red carpet affair that hosts a who’s who from the business of sex, the XBIZ Awards is the adult industry’s biggest night and most prestigious symbol of success. The event recognizes outstanding achievements across every facet of the multibillion-dollar business, including movie production, pleasure products, technology and retail.

Since its inception, household names from the world of adult have hosted the event, including Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Jesse Jane and Kayden Kross. Its worldwide reach has garnered international media coverage from renowned outlets such as the L.A. Times, CNBC, TIME, Cosmopolitan, New York Magazine, Huffington Post and The Daily Beast, among others.

The XBIZ Awards will once again coincide with the trade events series of the year, XBIZ 2018, which annually features an unparalleled lineup of industry thought leaders from international markets to explore the future of adult.

The XBiz 2018 Annotated Nominations

So begins awards season, and so begins our coverage of same with our annotated lists of nominees; annotated by virtue of we link to the people and titles that have garnered nominations this season.

We only saw a couple issues – first is in the “Best Sex Scene – All-Sex Release” category, XBiz nominated Elsa Jean and Jay Smooth for Who’s Banging the Babysitter, unfortunately, her scene partner was Lucas Frost, not Jay Smooth.

Second, we’re not sure what they refer to as “Latina Sex Tapes: Senoritas” for the Best Latin Themed release.  We assume it’s a DVD compilation of content from Mofo’s Latina Sex Tapes site, those DVDs are released with volume numbers, not subtitles, so we’re not sure which volume they’re referring to.
